Janeh

Janeh is the largest of the two moons, nearly twice the size of Cintho so that when it passes in the night it dominates the sky and casts the world in a faint blue glow. This moon undergoes a lunar eclipse once a season, and hen the eclipse occurs the moon shimmers in color that corresponds with the season: soft green for spring, gold for summer, red for fall, and a white for winter. Janeh crests the horizon shortly after sunset, and crosses the sky to the fall beyond the horizon just after sunrise.

Cintho

Chintho is the smaller of the two moons of Roshanri, and casts a soft purple glow over the land as it passes well ahead of its larger twin. This moon travels faster than Janeh, appearing at times while the sun is still in the air and completing its journey across the sky just before dawn. Once a month Cintho passes close to Anri and eclipses the larger moon. This marks the end of the month, and the beginning of the next as it happens on the 28th night of every month. Many superstitions exist about this time, as when the eclipse occurs the entire world is cast into darkness for several hours so deep that not even the light of stars make their way to the people of Anri.
