Human

Humans are one of the most varied and unique of all the races of Roshanri. While all on this list are of the same race, many clans possess unique characteristics and cultures which differentiate them from the rest of their cousins. As a race the Humans are physically weaker than even the smallest of the Rosh'na, however, they make up for this in their ingenuity and creative innovations which are used to carve their own place in the world.

Appearance

As a race Humans are widely diverse in their appearances with very little rhyme or reason as to how why various characteristics and features appeared over the course of their history in Roshanri. A human's skin color can range from a very light silvery tone (almost white) to a black so dark it is closer to onyx than ebony. Other possible hues include a range of tan and orange of those whose ancestors settled in the dry desert areas, shades of mossy green and even hues close to cyan or burgundy. In similar fashion hair colors can come in even broader scopes with blondes so light they are almost white and black that almost looks blue in the right lighting. The different combinations are almost endless, with eye colors also coming in equally vivid shades.

History

The first known account of Human culture can be found almost 5000 years ago, though relics from this time offer little to no information on what the race was like before the Forgotten Era. Any knowledge before this time is nothing but mere speculation, with even the most well study scholars of human history only able to offer the smallest hint as to what humanity was like in its early days. What is known is that human society before the Forgotten Era was highly advanced, and the technologies and creations of that time far surpass what is currently possible for humans now. Some of these creations and examples of architecture can be found in the form of underground ruins and broken temples long sense fallen to ruin.

Individual clans of humans have their own ideas for how their people came to be, each of which is tied deeply to their culture and religious beliefs. What all clans share however is their deep roots in Magic and their innovative use of Magitech in order to survive the harsh world of Roshanri.

Human Clans

It is unknown exactly how many Clans of humans exist in Roshanri, and each has unique characteristics and cultures which make them very different from each other. As all clans are a part of the Human Race they can of course interbreed, allowing mixing of blood and traits in interesting ways. There exists very little discrimination between clans as all understand they are, at heart, human, but not every clan agree with every other as far as religious and cultural practices go.
